Are You Breathing Clean Air?
June 5th is World Environment Day.
Humans have taken advantage of both the animals and the environment.
As a result, countless animals like Asiatic Black Bear, otters, red foxes are endangered.
And 92 % of the world’s population is breathing unhealthy air.
Every year, about 7 million people die early from air pollution.
The world is spending $5 trillion annually to deal with air pollution.
It is a global emergency.
Since 1972, the UN Environment Programme (UNEP, or UN Environment) has been holding annual events for World Environment Day.
They want the world to take notice and take actions.
This year, under the theme of “Air Pollution,” China is organizing the global World Environment Day celebrations.
Hopefully, World Environment Day 2019 will bring together not only individuals but also governments, industries, and communities to act upon using renewable energy, green technologies and improve the air quality across the world.
